The African Ruggedized Education System (ARES) is a portable, standalone server designed to deliver comprehensive educational content without the need for internet connectivity.

The ARES Classroom System

ARES is designed to work in remote areas where power is limited and unreliable.   Its battery works up to 8 hours and connects with about 50 devices (laptops, tablets and cell phones) via wifi. A projector can allow a teacher to show videos to an entire class using a single laptop.  Also with ARES, students can explore digital content and access interactive programs.  Lesson can be self-paced.  Most importantly students gain the necessary skill sets to function in our digital world.
