Nepal: One Day at a Time

Born from one woman’s quest to teach, trek, and build a school in the remote Himalayas, Nepal: One Day at a Time raises funds for essential books and school supplies in underserved regions. Beyond providing basic classroom resources for teachers and students, the project recently reached a major milestone: delivering the first-ever books to the students of Bidd Jyoti Primary School. Additionally, the society provides vital scholarships for students in need.

The Rolwaling Legacy Project

The Rolwaling Legacy Project supports the community of Beding and the Rolwaling Sangag Choling Monastery School in Nepal’s Rolwaling Valley. Recent funding has facilitated major renovations to the school’s kitchen and dining hall, alongside the critical repair and relocation of the school’s water source.

Beyond these infrastructure projects, the initiative supports general maintenance and staffing costs. Future goals include the construction of the Tibetan Sherpa Rolwaling Museum and the development of curated tourism to foster community self-sufficiency. The project is supported by the documentary film The Anti-Expedition and the accompanying book, Ways to Go: Reconsidering Travel as Told Through Two Himalayan Adventures (1971–2023).
